Dh got me this huge arrangement of exotic flowers and cooked me lobster tails, pasta, and shrimp cocktail...

He did good!!!!!!!!

I love my DH, but I am a little disappointed. I made him phyllo dough wrapped gouda with apples and almonds, field greens with a honey mustard vinagerette, penne with a wild mushroom sauce and chocolate covered strawberries all served with Pink champange and our favorite red wine. I got him 2 'For my Husband' v-day cards and cleaned the apartment (which he was suppose to do while I was at work yesterday). I got flowers from the store in the subway. Not even a card for our first v-day as husband and wife. I feel bad for complaining, but he never puts any thought into these things and it is starting to upset me. All I wanted was a card.

, I'm sorry. My father has never been the romantic type. He's NEVER gotten my mother a Valentine's gift EVER, except for this year. I happened to be at the house (Because DH was working) when he came home and he brought her a flower, a sweet card, and a new mouse and mousepad for her computer. That's completely unlike my father. My mother was like: 'what, are you trying to KILL me?'

FH gave me A chocolate covered pretzel, and i gave him a mini Valentines day Kit Kat bar
.... but we're giving ourselves to each other for the rest of our lives on Saturday, so i guess that counts too

Brad got me 2 dozen mini red roses, and small white gold hoop earrings

He's currently putting together his present from me - a puzzle of one of our wedding proofs!

This! and purple and yellow tulips. I bought him a poker tabletop, 2 shirts, and a bagful of non-chocolate candy (he gave up chocolate for lent. )

.....AND we had dinner at my parents' - it was my mother's request that we join them for a ginormous lasagna, and neither of us minded because her lasagna is just so d@mn good!

He cooked us a wonderful dinner Sat night - shrimp cocktail, lobster tails, filet mignon - got me a gift cert to a high-end spa near me and had a dozen roses delivered to my new job today!! He's so good to me! I would trade it all in though to have him home with me tonight instead of working overnight!

He sent me an arrangement of tulips to work and got me a very pretty (and unusual) necklace from an intereting gallery in the city.

a $hitload of 'love coupons'

we gave each other big gifts last year because it was our first married v day so this year with fixing up the house we went light. i made a great meal and we stayed in and watched movies. i bought him a few dvds and bought me a coat.

A baby! Well, actually that was his CHRISTMAS present to me...but evidently in his mind, that was good enough And it IS! I got him Season 2 of the Dukes of Hazzard

Heidi, don't feel bad. DH is not really too big on buying gifts, but my entire family really is. They don't really get it and then I have to hear Is that all he got you? when my brother buys his wife jewellry and we only go out to dinner for V day.

I'm sure your DH does things on a daily basis that other guys don't. Mine bought me ballet tickets 'just because' about two weeks ago. I told him he should've saved them for Valentine's day, but he said he just couldn't wait to give them to me.

This year, I bought him a Le Creuset apron (okay, he really wanted it) and a protector for his iPod and he gave me a rose, a beautiful card that he made, he made me dinner with shrimp, veal, champagne, etc and gave me a little snow globe with our picture in the middle since I finally have my own desk at work.

We have been so busy and stressed that we are celebrating for real next weekend. I have been feeling so sick lately so I told DH that all I wanted was for him to pick me up from work yesterday!!! He drove all the way from his job in Brooklyn to Manhattan to get me!! It sounds crazy but it was a great gift after the way I have been feeling.

I wasn't thinking about gifts or fancy dinners this year; I just wanted the comfort of him being here for me!!

DH had a beautiful arrangement sent to the house and came home with a heart shaped cake that he ordered from the bakery.

I made dinner and gave him a few American Chopper DVD eposides.

I got a gift certificate for a spa in miami beach to get my hair done, manicure, pedicure, massages, facial and tanning I love him!

We went out to eat at Carraba's on Saturday night. My dh got my a card, chocolate and a scratch off which I won $25! I bought him a card and scratch offs and he only won $2 though!
We just stayed home last night. I made linguine and my dh took our daughter to family swim night.

We are officially celebrating on Sunday night, DH had to work sunday and yesterday..so Sunday will be our big night out..but DH did have roses delievered to me while he was at work..it was a great surprise.

We kept it simple and unromantic, I got him Married with Children Season 3 and scratch offs and he got me a camera case and a battery charger for the camera.

sounds like us. He got me the Back to the Future trilogy & I got him Houseplants for Dummies & a plant.

We made cheese fondue for dinner & chocolate fondue for dessert & I ate way too much.

I got the diamond earrings I wanted!!! I love them!!!

He really surprised me, bec he kept saying I wasn't getting anything big, so don't be disappointed.
