I am using an interfaith minister. They are asking $300. However, they are a really nice couple. It's a married couple. They were very nice and made us feel very comfortable. We met with them in their home.

I am using Rev. Irwin and Rev. Flroence Schnurman. As I mentioned earlier they are a married couple. Very very nice people. They have a website at www.weddingclergy.com and their email address is [email protected] They are located in Middle Island. The phone number is 631-345-3606. It's worth looking into. Though with the justice of the peace sounds like you have a better price. However these Reverends can make the ceremony more personla thaan a Justice of the Peace. I guess it depends on what your looking for.

My Uncle - Marrying Me - Do I pay him?

Hi Ladies: Maybe you can give me some opinions on this situation. My uncle is marrying me (Deacon becoming a priest). He is traveling here from Conneticut and I am paying for his hotel room and ferry home. I also stiched him the "Our Father" and framed the picture as our gift to him. Do you think I should still give him a monetary gift as well? I don't know on this one.

What's a good song to play while all the ladies gather for the bouquet toss??? I didn't like any of the songs my DJ suggested...he suggested GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN, NEVER GONNA GET IT, and some others... Thanks!

I think that you have all your bases covered. I would have suggested paying for transportation and /or lodging and getting a small thoughtful gift. Guess what? you did that! Good work!

No don't give him money. I think what your doing is enough. My Uncle friend is marrying us and they told us to just get hime like a bottle of wine or a tie tack. You are really treating your Uncle well. I'm also assuming your paying for his meal. I think that's enough.

My church is asking for $400 donation and $90 for the organist....I'm assuming that includes the deacon's "fee"......

I really like the water view at PJCC also. Amazing. I wasnt to crazy about their inside cocktail hour room, and if the weather is bad and it ends up inside, I wont be too thrilled. BUT they were most within my price range.

HI KAREN, I AM USING A MINISTER SUSAN MARLAN I THOUGHT SHE WAS GREAT HER FEE IS ABOUT 400/450 SHE MAKES THE CEREMONY VERY PERSONAL SHE HAD AN IDEA FOR EVERY THING -- I WAS RECOMMEND TO HER AND I AMM REALLY GLAD WE WENT TO SEE HER I REALLY FEEL GOOD ABOUT THE CEREMONY ITS GOING TO BE SO GREAT--IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR WANT HER # E MAIL ME LAURA

The same exact thing happend to me at Windows on the Lake!!!! We were planning long distance so we gave them a small deposit to hold the date while we made sure we wanted to book with them. We called back a week later to book. Gave them a much larger deposit and set an appointment to sign the contracts. We went in July signed the contract and started lining up our other vendors thought that package deal windows had. When we called to ask them a question they said that they were glad we called because they double booked our date and we were out of luck. They were extremely rude to us both Frank the manager and even the owner. We even had a hard time getting our deposit back because they said we cancelled rather than picking another date with them if you could believe that. I would definately stay away from them and tell anyone who asks the same thing. I'm so sorry that it happened to you also. We ended up going to book at the Swan Club the next day and have been extremely happy with our choice. I have heard other horror stories about the poor service and attitudes of people who have already had their weddings there so you are better off going somewhere else where these types of mistakes don't happen all the time. Laura- We are using Sisan Marlan as well. Isn't she wonderful. I was bawling when she was reciting sample vows. I don't know if I was the one who referred you to her, but I did refer her to many people on this site. If I was, I am really glad you thought she is as great as we did. And, there is is little stress involved when working with her. Good Luck!!!
