Officiant Meeting

I have a meeting with the officiant tonight. We haven't booked yet. What specifically should I ask or look for in this meeting? Thanks!!!

My fault for running so behind this week or I would have asked earlier our meeting at 6. Any links or ideas thanks.

Well, he/she will probably explain a little about how they conduct ceremonies... Is it a priest/pastor/rabbi? They might talk about how religious you want to get...

You should see if you click with him/her, tell him/her what kind of ceremony you are looking for, etc. If you don't feel at ease with the person, it might not be the best person for the job.

Oh, and cost of course

make sure you feel 100% comfortable with them

ask:
-- about their fees
-- if they write the cermeony especially for you or if they have a template they use for everyone
-- if they write anything at all, or if they 'wing it'
-- if they do write something, can you read it in advance?
-- if they're religious (a Priest or Rabbi), do they require anything special (like covering your shoulders)
-- what will they be wearing at the ceremony
-- do they have a backup officiant in case they're sick or whatnot

um ... that's all i've got for now ...

good luck tonight
