Officiant's fee?
Original post by teany
So I asked the rabbi who's conducting our ceremony about a fee, and he said that he doesn't have a set amount, and doesn't feel comfortable asking for a specific number. But he said most couples give between $750-$1800... I've heard of officiant's fees ranging, maybe with the average being $600. Just wondering what you're giving yours or what you think you'd give if you had the choice. We did meet with him about three times in the last year or so, though it was pretty much just discussing the ceremony, no counseling or anything like that.
Re: Officiant's fee?
my rabbi is charging $750. He's already met with us twice and we'll meet once again in June...this was a combo of getting to know you, counseling and learning about jewish weddings (we needed to learn some of the customs.)
Re: Officiant's fee?
So possibly the Jewish faith ceremonies are more money? Do you get more bang for your buck?
