Oh My God

Oh My God

Now that I am finally shaking less enough to write.....I figured out the reasons for my decreased milk production and other problems....with a 5 1/2 month old daughter, even though I was breast feeding.....I AM PREGNANT. I am so not ready!! I am so overwhelmed right now, we are so shocked.

Congrats! That is great news. Take a deep breath, first. I know it is totally overwhelming. But I always thought it would be wonderful to have siblings so close in age, almost like twins. It will also make a great deal for you and your husband. You guys won't have kids with such different needs at different times. I think it is wonderful, even though you need some time to relax and create your next game plan.

You should call your doctor and talk about the stress on your body though as well. Have you completely healed from your first pregnancy?

Congrats... I know it must seem a bit overwhelming now, but I'm sure you are excited as well. Just think, you will have another beautiful baby to love!

Awww, don't freak out! DH's aunt and uncle had two of their four children even closer together (baby was 4 months old when aunt found out she was pregnant....)

I can attest that his aunt still has her sanity and even had one more (her fourth) a few years later

Their kids are very happy and successful. One is even a brain surgeon!

I'm sure it will all work out

Thanks, everyone. I suppose I am about 4 weeks, which is still very early - last time I was pregnant I didn't say a peep to anyone until I was 12 weeks, but I was in such shock before. Now I am so nervous, that because my initial reaction was fright instead of joy, that something terrible is going to happen. This has been one stressful day. I think I am healed enough, although the concept that I am still breast feeding and also pregnant is too much to get my mind around. I know we are blessed...I am slowly adjusting to the whole thing....thanks for your support! (I will be 6 months pregnant at my daughters first birthday!)

It definately is good to have children close together in age. DH is less than a year apart from his sister and his sister is less than a year apart from his brother and they get along so amazingly well and are so close. Even though I get along with my brothers, we're years apart and I have to say, I was envious of the relationship they all have.

WOW.... Congratulations. I know someone who this happen to she has the cutest baby girls and they are in different grades but less then a year apart. Thats really cool that they will be so close in age. My brother and I are 8 and a half years apart and now we get a long but growing up we had nothing in common. I use to get in his 'way' when his friends were over.
