Oh My God.....A Wedding Story!

I have very exciting and unbelievable news! I just got a phone call and my fiance and I were selected to have our wedding televised by 'A Wedding Story!' I am so besides myself and I cannot believe it!! I applied online and they called last week to do further interviews and they just called to say we've been accepted! I love that show and I'm addicted! Wow!

Although I will post a word of advice - don't let them 'take over'. I know someone who couldn't do a lot of what she wanted because of the demands of the camera crew.

How Cool, congrats!
I espeicially love to watch the show now that I am planning a wedding, just not on at convienent times, on in day when I am at work.

I've already made claer that nothing will change with ours plans. This is our wedding afterall. I know it's their tv show, but it's our wedding! It's not a huge crew, it's just 2 camera guys, a mic guy and a producer. I went to either the learning channel.com or tlc.com and I clicked on a wedding story. They have applications online. If they're interested, they call. After that it's interviews and emails and then they decide!
***by the way, they don't pay for anything, I know lots of people think they do, but they don't!**
That's fine with me, I'm just excited!

That is great. Congrats. Make sure you read the contract that they give you. Like Stef said someone on another site had they pretty much take over the entire wedding and days before it.

OMG - CONGRATS!!!!! I have been addicted to that show for years!!! I am soooooooooo jealous!! Was there something really interesting about the way you guys met? Usually that's what it seems to be - or a break up in between, or some difficult obstacle to get over to get where you are today....I am dying to hear your story now! That is such great news....have a GREAT time with it...

congratulations!!! you may also want to get in contact with the girl from the other board...ask questions like...are they obtrusive...do they make you do things over agin...can you run around like a chicken without its head the day before your wedding...
