OH MY! In doing my budget...

We never really had a budget Which is REALLY BAD

We are already $2000 over budget and we're not even close to the wedding day yet!!!

When all is said and done, I imagine we will be $4000 - 5000 over budget. But that's fine with me because neither one of us will be in debt over it and we managed to get great deals in a lot of places!! Had we not done that, we would be living in a cardboard box right now!!!

We didn't have a budget at first. We booked the big things like the hall and the band then went from there. We went with our gut about what was a fair price for things and what our vision was for the wedding. We said we definitely wanted this or that and what we could live without. We went to one catering hall and it was $180pp and we knew that it wasn't going to happen. I called around to places that were recommended and realized what was do-able for us.

In all we came out fine and we didn't go nuts. We overstimated the band and under-estimated the photgrapher..stuff like that happened. We decided on one limo, small bridal party-things like that to keep it under control. We took a little shorter honeymoon than we originally thought we wanted and realized that there would be other things in life to spend money on.

We paid for a majority of the wedding and knew what we were comfortable with. DH kept me grounded for the most part.

I don't even want to see what I went over with our 'budget'

I feel so much better now after seeing this. We are $1,788.31 over budget which is not bad in the grand scheme of things
