I just realized that my invites DONT say 'cocktail hour', it just says reception starts @ 8:00.....
ALSO- the response card just says ___amount of seats have been reserved in ur honor...
it doesnt even have a place to mark 'not coming'
how can i be soo dumb

my cocktail is at 8 pm... It says: Adult Reception at eight o clock in the evening...

Ohhh.. then dont worry.. They will be there for 8:00 when cocktail hour starts.. thats not a biggie. As for me.. My response cards didn't have the place to put ______will not attend. Your guests just simply write '___O___ if they cant go. Thay have been doing that with mine.

Don't stress....I'm sure it will be fine! We forgot to put 'adult reception' on ours...and were worried that people would think they could bring kids..but most people know that the cocktail hour is before the reception. Worse case..they'll call to ask. Don't worry!!!

The cocktail hour starts a reception. IT is actually PART of the reception. I have never been to a wedding that DIDN'T have a cocktail hour - even if it was minimal. People will know.

Don't sweat it! Mine were the same! It said reception starts at 7PM but that was my CH! Everyone was there on time!
As to the 'no' column, I didn't have one either. When I got 'no' responses, they just put 0 in the blank

You're not alone - you know what I did????? I did not indicate that single people are invited with a guest!!!!!!! I though about it AFTER I mailed out the invites!!!!!!!!!!!

i think cocktail hr these days is just expected! mine doesnt really say cocktail hr.. i just put join us for drinks, dinner, and dancing then put time and place.. you are ok, people will arrive at 8

dont worry my reception card says starts at 7pm ( which is when the cocktail hour is) and our response card just has name slot and number of persons....dont worry people will figure it out...no worries
