i almost forgot to tell my girls!!!! remember MONTHS ago i was worried about my schooling and what i should do with my life.. and then i took the entrence exam for the nursing program... and then i insisted that i failed... well then i got an interview and wasnt quite sure how it went well.... yesterday i recieved a letter that....

I WAS OFFICIALLY ACCEPTED TO THE NURSING PROGRAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and will be starting on March 12th!!! im soo excited i finally have my Sh!t together!!! im so proud of myself! so monday i took off from work. FH and i will be celebrating but going to our photo apts. and then out to eat at benihana!!!!

so anyway.. thanks for all the support back when i was freaking out and i almost forgot to tell you ladies the GREAT news!!

thanks thats really sweet. i havent decided if i want to be in a hospital or in a nursing home yet. i know nursing homes are hard but i just feel like they could really use some new young faces in there with all the bad things you hear ya know. but id really LOVE to work with the babies and mommys.. who knows where ill end up. but THANK you i really appriciate that!

I'm working with the babies and mommies this semester! I was so nervous at first but I like it. Today I was actually working the the neonatal ICU. I think that's where I want to be!

I'll be graduating this december and taking RN boards in Jan. 08. Then I do a 6 month new grad bridge program... that's why I waited so long for the wedding. But I love the fall so it all works out!

i feel the same way very nervous to be with them but i think thats where im going to love to be!

I work as a nurse's aid now. SO when I started this semester I told my mom... 'I'm so nervous, I change diapers all the time but never a baby's diaper!' She laughed at me.

The nurse I was following in the NICU was actually an LPN!

thats going to be me and LPN... i didnt think that the hospitals had them anymore? what hospital?? ive been so discouraged from everyone that i talk to telling me that im wasting my time and what not doing the LPN.. but i just feel theres no need for me to pay for it when alot of places will PAY for me to go to school!

I'm doing clinical at Stonybrook. I work at Mather in Port Jeff. My hospital pays for everything. Uniforms, textbooks, tuition and lab fees. Plus they are the only one so far that pays up front.

Most LPN work is in nursing homes but you are a medical assistant? That's some experience so that will help you.

Hey Im in LPN school right now. You will love it! I started clinical about 3 weeks ago in long term care. I absolutly love it! I cannot wait to graduate in August! I am going to go back for my RN and it will only take me 1 year may be the same for you depending on if you have any other college courses...........CONGRATS!!!!! and if you need help with anything let me know i have pretty good grades!!!!! LOL
