Oh thank goodness

Oh thank goodness

So FH and I went to PA for our best friends’ wedding this weekend and it was GREAT! SOOO much different from a NY wedding, but still, it was really nice and we had a blast! Our friends are really traditional so bride’s family paid for the reception, flowers, etc. Groom’s family paid for the RD, brunch the day after and all the alcohol at the wedding.

We had a really great time!

Now, the best part. FH and I have been arguing about telling his parents that “technically” it is their responsibility to do the RD because both of his parents are “foreign” and he didn’t know if they understood American culture and tradition with weddings (even though they’ve each lived in NY for 35 years). So he FINALLY told them yesterday after we got back from the wedding that they’re supposed to do the RD (no matter how big or small) and they’re totally cool with it and said that they “already knew.” OMG what a relief. I was hoping it wouldn’t have to get “ugly” b/c I know my parents can’t do the RD also and FH and I definitely didn’t budget for that when we did our wedding budget.

Now I can breathe.

That's cool.. I'm hoping that someone can step up for the RD and brunch day after since my FH's parents are no longer living....

We can't fit that into the budget...
