Big issues w/ his family that wound up forcing us not to attend x-mas dinner. Basically, I can't go too far into it, but his father asked FH's opinion on something that is very important, his father did not like FH's opinion and told FH that he is not as intelligent as he (the father) is. He told FH that if he could not agree and go along w/ his father then not to come to x-mas dinner. His father told his stepmother that we just did not show up. His step mother was really upset so FH e-mailed her w/ a sensitive explaination...she showed it to the entire family, including the involved parties, then wrote the both of us this long, nasty, accusing letter. I wrote her back, but I know that nothing I say is going to make a differance or be taken the way it should. So, I know they are just going to hate me now.
