So it’s not enough that FH and I are both sick, but last night was not needed.
Last night we eat dinner then take our antibiotics. (same pills) 10 minutes later FH starts scratching uncontrollably and his throat starts closing up. I drive him to the hospital and they took him immediately. He ended up being allergic to the antibiotic. (Levaquin) Doctor said if he took one more he would have died. Great!! So they put him on a nebulizer and gave him new antibiotics.
Best part….I called his mom and she’s flipping out she’s going to drive to Brooklyn. I’m like…hey! He doesn’t need his mommy he has his wife!!! That felt good.
But FH's ok now…we’re just both still sick. Not needed 3 weeks before the wedding!!!

Wow!!! I am so glad he is ok now. I love how you told his Mom that he doesn't need his Mommy. It took my FMIL a long time to realize I am in his life now to take care of him....not her.
I had to take that antibiotic for awhile and I started to get joint pain. It was hard for me to even get out of bed and it was hard for me to bend my fingers. I won't ever take that antibiotic again!!!!

I can tell you as a retired nurse, one can always develop an allergy, even if you've taken that antibiotic before. Our Daughter, Donna, had always taken Amoxicillin, but one morning, she took it before work, and had a similar allergic reaction. Her boss rushed her to the hopital, and had to stop along the way, and call an ambulance. Donna nearly died. I was a wreck, driving to the hospital!! Thankfully, she recovered. I know Donna gets Epi-pens, when she's on an any antibiotic, 'just-in-case'. Mary MOB
