A $120 per plate for Oheka is unheard of that is really good. Almost way too good!!

Re: OHEKA Castle
Yes he did get married there and they made the entire room red with red fabric and lighting! There was also a HUGE poster of his bride hanging in front of the staircase when you first enter! (I took a peak at his wedding album that they have in the library)-LOL!
Ummm it looks like I should have gotten married on a Tuesday

Re: OHEKA Castle
weeeeeeeeeeellllll Girls just a little info that some girls are not telling you and I will be the one to say look for a bargain. I booked the Oheka March 31 2006 My site fee was 3,000.00 and $135.00 per person
that's awesome Jessy. I thought mine was good at 5000 for the site fee and 160 per plate. I'm only having about 120 people. So it wont be too bad. NICE JOB!!!

Re: OHEKA Castle
By the way, I was there today...and you don't need flower pieces for the bench in the stairway OR for the table you put your place cards on. They do it for you now!!!
PS-Klarabelle...Are you getting married there too?

Re: OHEKA Castle
They had fake flowers when I booked it. I booked last September. But I figured they will be using flowers that are in the season. It probably won't be perfect, but I'm keeping the bouquets simple anyway. By the way, did you see room 401? ITS AWESOME. It's even nicer than the Bridal Suite!!!

Re: OHEKA Castle
JEANNIE I am getting married there next May
I didn't know that about the flowers.....I actually called Rick today to see if I could come and take a peak at some upcoming weddings to get some thoughts and ideas for my flowers! That's my next endeavor! Half the time I don't even remember what tables/mantels/etc are where and I have to look at pictures to remember! At least now I can cross of two more places from my list! But, what if they don't match and they put something completely different from my style?
Which room is 401 is that the one thats in the middle of the hallway or the one at the end of the hallway! I know they were renovating one of the bridal suites as well....YAY! One of the suites had animal statues and pieces and it scared me-

Re: OHEKA Castle
Sorry Klarabelle, I meant to say...Is your ceremony going to be there as well? WOOPS!! Anyway, 401 is the room that is on the end. There is an awesome balcony. In Regard to the flowers...I saw them today... and they were the most beautiful arrangements I've ever seen. They would probably cost at least 350- 500 a piece!!! BEAUTIFUL!!

Re: OHEKA Castle
JEANNIE- Yes both my ceremony and reception are going to be there! I can't wait to go and look at the flowers, I am glad to hear that they were pretty!
jessy-My dress is by Edgardo Bonilla and I think you were talking to me when you wrote that! Where did you get it? I got mine in Manhasset. What does it look like? Funny if we got the same one! Mine is actually a combination of two of his dresses, and one of them is on the Martha Stewart weddings website!

Re: OHEKA Castle
wow some of you guys got really good prices i guess i did not do such a good job negotiating. That is great about the flowers. Even my church is going to be decorated with flowers for free too (my wedding is on Pentecost, so there will be red and white flowers already at the church).
Do you get to pick which suite you stay in the night of the wedding?
