OHEKA Reviews

Original post by sportif7

Has anyone had their wedding at or been to someone else's wedding there within the last year or so? I went to check out the venue last weekend, obviously it's gorgeous, but I heard a rumor from a friend that there have been some food disappointments? From what they charge pp plus the site fee, I can't imagine this, but as we all know price doesn't always dictate quality...

thanks guys...i guess i have my answer...i think i'm gonna wind up booking the royalton mansion...we just fell in love with the place also...maybe even more then oheka...but oheka being oheka i had to find out if it was living up to its hype

Royalton is really a lovely place. FSIL got married there last year and the food was great. I wanted to get married there originally, but my invite list is way too big.

The Royalton is fabulous! I fell in love with it but since I am having a smaller wedding I knew I couldn't meet the minimum. My cousin got married there and her husband is a chef and very picky with food.
He was determined to not get married at a catering hall becasue he always hates the food.
they will make a menu just for you and it will be amazing.
I have never been to Oheka but Royalton def will impress you with their food.

I LOVE the Royalton too... It was between my current RH and the Royalton for us... I just loved the special touches you get and I was blown away by the fact that you literally pick your own menu with the chef (though I would imagine that can get pretty stressful to come up with stuff on your own without anything to pick from).

I loved the staff too - they were great even though we didn't wind up booking. They did their best to accommodate all our requests and I really felt like they cared about their brides and grooms.

BTW - we didn't wind up booking there because we thought it was small, and there are no grounds and we really wanted beautiful scenery. HTH! LMK if you have any more questions - happy to help!

i don't know much about oheka, but i did seriously contemplate the royalton...it was a choice for me between the royalton and the woodlands, where we ended up booking. the woodlands just had more atmosphere and significantly larger grounds...also i was intimidated by making my own menu lol...and i think we have too many people to fit comfortably there. if you're iffy about royalton, check out the woodlands, but either way you're getting a great place

I'm having my wedding there in a few weeks. I've had family members attend other functions there previously and they thought the food was superb.
