Although i'm not getting married there, i'm going even with the 10 pp charge. Some of my vendors will be there and i think it will be fun to see them

I am getting married there...but i can't go I am so upset over this! If anyone is going...please please take pics of how they decorate! I heard that each florist is getting an area to decorate! ANyway...please post a review...THANKS

As for your questions...as far as I know: you don't have to pay in advance you can buy tickets at the door.
they will serve drinks and hors devours (sp?) and
there will be a TON of vendors there...all of OHEKA's recommended vendors will be there and more!

Thanks Annie...do you know what time it starts? I already booked my hall but I'm interested in the vendors - particularly the florists since that is next on my list.

I am planning on going - I think it starts at 6:30. But I live and work in NYC, and so will be leaving work early and therefore unable to check the web after about 4. Hopefully, if you make a plan to meet I'll be able to find you. But just in case you want to find me, I am short (5' 1' ish), with dark skin and hair (pulled back into a low ponytail), wearing black capris and a blue/grey v-neck sleeveless sweater.

6:30 is do-able. I'll meet you Shawl...Do you want to meet at the entrance or something - make it easy? To be honest, I have no idea what this place looks like to say that the entrance would be easy.
I'm 5'8', short dark hair, I'm wearing a short sleeved brown button down over a coral/pink top with a skirt.

I am planning on arriving around 6:30. I am also 5'1, I have long black hair, and will be wearing a pale blue long sleeve sweater with black jeans. I am also meeting another girl from LIW too. Look forward to seeing everyone there.

Would it be OK if we met around 7, just to give everybody time to be late and such (LIRR is often late..)? It's tough knowing where to meet, though. I imagine most everything will be in the new room (if it's open) or in the ballroom. Should we perhaps pick a vendor? I know I will be looking at florists - so maybe Flower Michele, if they're there? Tell you what - if you all make a plan, I will call my fiancé from the train or car to get the skinny! (i have to leave in 1/2 hour)

Flower Michele at 7 it is! I forgot to add - I also wear glasses. I can't remember if they are an official Oheka vendor. I looked there and kept all the info, but haven't looked at it in a while. But hopefully we'll be able to find each other! A backup could be the library at 7:30, if it's open.

I might be wearing my glasses too (depends on how my eyes feel at that time!)...they're black, plastic frames. 7:30 in the library as backup is good too.
I HOPE Flower Michele is a vendor...I'm dying to see their work!

When I spoke to Kelly last week she said the carpeting for the new room was getting delivered today and that the room would be only half carpeted, so I'm not sure if everything will be in the new room or not.

From what I heard...if the carpeting is not finished, the room is going to be roped off and people will just be able to 'view' it. Either way, I don't think anything will be set up in there!
