Choose your wedding date??

Any specific reasons (anniversary, holiday weekend, etc)?? or was it the ONLY one left available in your fave month??

I work in a school, so summer really felt best. I could be doing all the things I need to do leading up to the wedding without having to go to work each day. Plus, we can go on our honeymoon, come home and still relax before going to back to work.

wanted a spring wedding but may was out because my mom's birthday and mothers day and generally graduations are in may also. April became the next best month and towards the end we figured would have better weather.

FI is a teacher so we thought it would be best to wait until after the school year and then we can go straight on our HM after the wedding.

We wanted May, and 5-25-07 had a nice ring to it. Also its the friday of memorial day weekend, so that would be good for all of our OOTers!!

We got engaged on Valentines Day 3 years ago. I originally wanted that weekend this year - but it was 10.00 more a head - so I opted to do it the week before. So I get to celebrate the whole first 1/2 of Feb every year!

Wanted to do a holiday weekend since I can't really take time off from work, and most of my fam. is from the south- they all come up to jersey for Thanksgiving though, so they won't have to make the treck up north twice in one year. FH loves the way the hall looks decorated for christmas.

We origianlly wanted it to be May 5th, because that would have been 4 years and 7 months to the day. But it was a Saturday, and more expensive and also Cinco Demayo. So we chose the 6th, a Sunday which saved us. We're happy either way.

we chose August 13 because its the day we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend...plus neither of us wants to have to remember other days...we like to keep things steamlined

FH is a teacher, so it had to be the summer -

His brother's anniversary is in the beginning of aug, so we went with July -

then in july is my mom's birthday and a few other birthdays, the last weekend was the best one!

I wanted a wedding in the winter...Im not that big of a fan of the summer and plus my FH is in the volunteer FD they have racing tournaments on Sats in the summer. So I thought the end of November would be a good choice.....not too close to Christmas and it wont be as cold as it would be if we chose February.
The Friday I chose b/c for some reason I just always wanted to have a Friday wedding

i wanted a spring wedding but my cousin is getting married in may and Im in her wedding and she is in mine. i didnt want there to be to much stress and less time between us. then we wanted Labor day weekend. by choosing our date we saved 20 per person. so our date has little significance unfortunately

We wanted to get married this year but need some time to plan. We didn't want a 'holiday wedding'. And then I said I didn't want to get married during typical wedding season. April was out of the question cause its my b-day month. So that left March. We wanted March 31st but my church wouldn't perform the ceremony cause it would have been the Sat. before Palm Sunday. So the 24th it is.....
