Ok girls I REALLY NEED UR HELP!!!!!

OK girls! I need ur help once again! Our guest list just went up alot, and now we can not do what we wanted on the beach at the beach house, So i am gonna need to go with the reception hall. We have always been stuck between The Vineyard Caterers and East Wind. Help us decide.

I say go woth Vineyard Caterers. But then I'm biased, since its my RH. LOL I've never been to East Wind, but I've heard only good things about them. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

LOL, well i beleive the Vineyard came dwn a lil in their pricing since i went, so i might need to go and see both again....

It depends on the wedding you want! East wind has all those different areas, and a hotel. I went to a wedding there once, the food was decent, there was a lot of it. Afterward we went to the hotel bar for an afterparty, which is pretty neat that it's right there. The ballroom was big and bright, pretty but not colors I like.
We chose Vineyards because we wanted a vineyard wedding, we loved the arbor, we loved the CH deck and the ballroom was more of a blank slate, although smaller than most places around. We did a tasting and we really liked the food.

I chose VC but that's because I'm totally biased

I think Jesse is right though- it depends on what type of wedding you're looking for...why don't you go back and visit both of them and see which one you have more of a reaction to? Maybe you'll know when you see one of them which is 'the one.'

I think I am gonna go back, just talked to FH about it.......Kinda sux tho! I wasn't gonna invite all the drivers at my job, just the ppl i was close to, but my brother who knows them thru my dad (i work with my dad) invited all of them, so now i HAVE TO invite them all, so my orignal GL was 80ppl (not including FH friends) and now it is like 120ppl! So what i wanted to do is out the window !!!!!

But thats ok, plan B right?

I dont have any info on Vineyard Caterers for you. I can say my sister had her wedding at the East Wind almost 5 years ago and it was fantastic!!!! The food was great! Everything went so smoothly and was so pretty, I highly reccomend them!

Thank u! O man, this is a really hard decision. I love both places and they r both grt to work with and i haven't heard ne thing bad about either! UGH! LOL I might leave this one up to FH (he has such grt tastes! one of the reasons i'm marrying him!) LOL

Just had some food from East Wind at the Extravaganza...it was DELICIOUS!!!! Seared sea scallop on top of wild mushroom risotto...omg, I wish I had some right now!!!! I say go with them!!

I know East Wind holds a lot of showcases you can go and try the food. I am not sure about VC but they might do them also.

This way you can try each before deciding

Well both places said i can try the food b4 booking, but like i said, I have not heard ne thing bad about the food at either place! BUT FH has to have REALLY REALLY GOOD FOOD!!!!! He should have been a food critic instead of a mechanic! lol he can tell u the best places to go and eat! (as long as they r in suffolk)

Well it looks like the vineyard is def the favorite! Now I have to get my butt dwn there and talk with my Johns' at both places...funny right? both BM's i'm dealing with r named John, and they r the only 2 i would recommend! lol

Did you end up choosing a venu? I visited both East Wind and VC. I love the size of the ballrooms at East Wind and the amount of food they provided but couldn't really get past all the murals. I've probably look at about 9-10 catering halls since then and keep going back to VC. The staff just seems so warm and inviting. I'm going to call for a tasting and hopefully I will finally have a venu!

i voted vineyard.....ive never been to a wedding there but its gorgeous, i love the idea of a wedding on a vinyard.

I have been to eastwind. I wouldnt want a wedding in teh main building bc there are more then 1 at the same time, but i LOVE the estate building

went to a vineyard caterers wedding and was SOOOOO impressed...loved that it was one wedding at a time, the food was FABULOUS and just awesoem!! it's gorgeous too!
