OK girls, which would you choose....PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I have a dilemma, I have had this dilemma for 5 months now! We have an AWESOME band for a Sunday date (they are not available for my Sat date) and a good band for a Saturday date. My dilemma is that we have an hour drive to our hall and so if we got married on the Sun that would only allow us an hour and a half for pictures if we wanted to attend cocktail hour. On Sat we will have 3 hours in between to take as many pictures and account for any mishaps like excessive traffic. Also we have guests from NJ and PA so I think Sat may be easier for them.

So do I pick more time for picts or the awesome band and some time for pics given no mishaps???

Please help

Are you saying you have 3 hrs between the ceremony & the reception on the Sat date? What are your guests supposed to do for those 3 hrs? It's seems an awfully long time for them to hang around. Especially for the ones who aren't local.

About 2 hours given that it will take them an hour to get to the hall. My mon said she will have food set up back at our house.

I don't know how much this will help but I'll tell you what I think I would do if I were in your position:

I'd stay with Sat. I wouldn't trade time or an ideal day of the week for a really good band. If money is not an issue (b/c Sundays are usually less expensive) Sat is better because not only do you have all that extra time (which I think you will definitely need), you are also making it more convenient for your oot guests. You don't want to be rushed while taking your photos (you won't enjoy it and they may not come out as good b/c of that)...the day will be rushed as it is. You can always find another band that will be great, you can't get time back. That's JMO -- good luck!

our church is 45 minutes from catering hall and we have to skip cocktail hour to take pictures if i had a choice i would take the 3 hours. better to have people have more time then to rush around expecially if they are from out of town.

I would stick with the Saturday plan. That way you will not have the pressure of rushing.

Go for the AWESOME band on Sunday. To me, music is the most important part of the reception. You won't regret your decision. Who is the band you are using?
