ok, Girls..i was thinking about posting this....long time ago!!!
Does anyone watch who's wedding is it anyway?
Yesterday they showed russian wedding!!! My FH recorded it! And im sooo happy that he did..i love him!!!
anyway...i wanted to tell you guys about Russian wedding traditions..
we have very many many...
before the whole ceremony bride and groom do see each other. Bride usually gets ready at her parents house and when groom comes to get her they call it a ' Buy out' groom has to buy a bride from her parents and friends...
so the bridal party (girlies) make him do all diff. kind of things..like dance, sing...ask him quest..and if does not do it right then he has to pay w/ money, chocolate, vodka or champagne...
Then we have cars that have to be decorated ..in the pic. thats where the bride and the groom is sitting..
Then after the ceremony..when bride and groom are going into the doors of the RH..all the people stay outside or by the doors and throw rice and money at them..mothers from both sides come with special bread and salt..(bride and groom have to bite and whoever is going to take a bigger piece..will be in charge of their home...:))
There is another fun thing (tradition) that happens at the wedding...
STEALING THE BRIDE (KRAZHA NEVESTY)
The groom should constantly keep his eyes on the bride. If the bride gets out of the groom’s sight, she could be stolen by his friends and the groom will have to pay the ransom.
And the best thing is that Russian Weddings are 2 days!!!!
