(most of the time) now i know my shower is next saturday at 4 pm i just dont know where - so FH will probably blindfold me and drive me to wherever it is - i just feel soooo stupid even having a shower - im starting to get nervous - i just hate when everyone looks at me. and all that. ill just drink wine to loosen up - i dont know why im bugging out - i know all the ladies there so its not like they're strangers -anyone feel like that? i remember when i used to go to my older cousins showers - i always looked at htem and thougth omg thats sooo cool, they're getting married & im just soo shy & starting to panick! :(

wow...what a relief it is to know that I'm not the only one who feels this way.
I HATE being the center of attention & everytime I think about my shower (it's March 9th), I start to get a butterfly feeling in my belly.
I'm definitely planning on having a half glass of wine prior to - is that terrible?
And like you, I know everyone that will be there..Idk, I guess it's like social anxiety or something.

my shower was a few weeks ago and i was the EXACT same way....walking in the room was ackward but after that it was fine. Not for nothing, the most people will look at you is when you open your gifts and most of them are chit chatting anyway bc lets face it...it's boring to them!!

I'm the same way. I dont like when things are all about me. I feel way to much pressure. I remember at my grad party I kept on trying to blend in instead of moving around and mingling with everybody At our eparty it wasnt so bad b/c FH is more outgoing so he kept a lot of the attention on him Just keep sipping wine - but be careful not to over do it b/c then you may end up REALLY being the center of attention Seriously tho, you will be fine. After a litle bit you'll loosen up and have a great time.

They are there to shower you with love and gifts, they should be the LAST people you'd feel nervous or uncomfortable around. I am more uncomfortable and nervous about not knowing the details of the shower rather than being there. I am sure you will have a wonderful day just relax.

i know its sooo weird bc when im at parties i talk to everyone and everything is cool - but the thought that this is all for me is like omg they're all here bc of me ! i know i am excited & my gooood girlfriend is coming from Florida on Friday night for the shower, im sooo excited & nervous at the same time. I guess Ill just drink some wine :)

when my dad had his 50th bday party this past novemeber - it was like about 100 ppl at a catering hall and the DJ started calling out me and my sisters to stand in the front with my mom and dad i was soooo

I think that when you get ready that day, you have to pump yourself up....play some music while you are getting ready, have a half a glass of wine to loosen up and just keep saying, 'This is going to be so much fun! A party....for me!!!' It will help take the edge off. Well, I know that music always helps me relax. On the way there, talk with FH about all of the stuff you hope to get and how you both are going to have such nice stuff!!! I think once you get there and get over the initial 'Surprisseeee-- this is for you' factor, that you'll be fine!

everyone there will be close friends and family so ppl you are comfortable with. Have a glass of wine when you get there to loosen up a little, but i am sure you will be fine.

i am having a small shower with only my family and close friends.
you should feel comfortable. they are all there because they love you and so happy for you.
i know i have the same issues. i will be freaking on my wedidng day probably need a xanax or two
