I think it is greatto want to stay home, but I like the opportunity that I have a choice, and a male doesn't make it for me.
I would never have been able to stay home.

I agree with that also. Given though choice, though, I'd much rather stay at home.

I couldn't have stayed home. I think it is so important for a woman to be able to support and take care of herself, and not depend solely on a man. It's a bad idea, IMO Men and money, you never know when either one of them is going to run out! You need to be able to take care of yourself.

I wouldn't burn my bra (I like my bras), and I am happy being a woman, but I also enjoy working and would strongly prefer to work at my job rather than be a SAHM. I just don't think its for me. I am not all that domesticated.

It would be scary if I didn't wear a bra
Especially nowadays with breastfeeding

Im not domesticated either, and dont want to be. But I see the moms in the morning dropping their kids off at this day care center every morning and by 8am they look like they already put in a full days work.

I think it would be great to stay at home with kids until they go to school and then go back to work. I couldn't stay home with no one home. That would be too lonely

I am all for woman's lib, but I wouldn't burn my bra. Bras are too expensive to just burn 'em up like that
No staying at home for me, though. I can barely stay at home for more than several hours during the day. I start to feel cooped up.
I like having my own money that I earned and I like having a career.

Stacey- Couldn't agree more with you! I like this thread Wacky!! I'd love to stay at home with my children but I suspect I'd grow tired of it after a few years. So, I guess my answer would be stay at home with them for the first few years of their lives and then go back to work doing something that I love!

I hear ya. I appreciate what they did for us, but they should have took it a step further. Like providing longer periods for women to stay home after birth. 6 weeks is ********. Also job protection.
