ok, I'm stumped and need suggestions..

alright ladies, since everyone is so creative here, I thought I'd pick your collective brain: I am trying to find a unity candle set that I can use for my outdoor wedding. The sets they sell cannot be used outdoors cuz they'll most likely blow out being in the wind. I have looked for hurricame lamps, but none seem wedding-ish. I've thought of using crystal hurrican lamps (I saw some for sale on EBAY) but then I still need a holder for the big center candle. So, any suggestions?? I really appreciate it! Thank God for this board...

How about hurricane lamps with the base decorated with flowers to match yours.

I think an oil burning unity candle would work...

This is what I found: http://www.foreverandalways.com/candlespgs/porcun.html I think it might work if you pull the wick out far enough. Also a regular unity candle with the large hurricane lamp over it might work. Good luck!

thank you ALL for your help......

I really appreciate it! I think Bride-to-be found the perfect one! I don't know how you found it when I have been searching forever, but that's why I asked!! I wrote to the company to see what they think...if it will withstand wind. They probably can't guarantee it, but I just want to see what they say!! Thank you all again so much!!!!! :) JOY

the porcelain unity candle...

well, I got a message back from the company. Here it is verbatim: The Porcelain Unity Candle would still blow out in a wind. The oil is poured into the porcelain candle, the wick is placed inside , the oil soaks into the wick and burns. The oil is burnt through the wick. If you need anything else, please let me know. It seems that it would still burn out!! ACKK! Any other suggestions?? I am not battin' a thousand, as the saying goes...
