Honestly, once I hit 7 months pregnant, my ankles were SO HUGE that I would have given my left arm for a dress that covered my legs. Perhaps you can appeal to her by reminding her that her feet & ankles are possibly going to BLOW UP towards the end of pregnancy.

Here's a picture of my feet if you think I'm kidding (and want to scare her into a long dress)

OMG! I always heard that when your preggers your feet get swolen, but seeing this was a wake up call! I'm sure it will be for OP's sis too, good call!

I would recommend flats. I didn't touch heels after 7 months or so. Your feet just HURT from all the weight. & the balls of your feet get sore.
Now, if you have one of those supermodel type sisters, all this goes out the window. Some people don't blow up but MOST do. My SIL is pg right now & she is wearing size 9 flip flops all winter. She was an 8.
