I had the opposite problem. The girls at David's bridal told me that because I'm young (23) I had to wear a strapless dress, because otherwise I would look too 'matronly', which is totally stupid. So don't listen to what anyone says you should or shouldn't do. Just wear what makes you feel good!
hahahaha i can't believe they would say that! I'm 30 (in a month) and I have cap sleeves.... does that make me matronly? I don't think there's a damnnnnnnn thing matronly about my dress. Who says that to someone!!!

I don't like wearing strapless dresses and it has nothing to do w/ age. I think if you look great in the dress, then wear it - strapless or not. My upper arms are chubby so I plan to wear capped sleeves..Even in junior high, I hated strapless dresses. My prom dress had short sleeves but an open key-hole style collar in the front.
