So DH and I have been weighing out the possibilities of moving to Florida.. (I know what a time to think about all this, with all the hurricanes)...
So we went to Florida to visit with my parents and to do some job hunting and look for a house.. well... We ended up finding an apartment, and DH got a job offer the second day we were there... The apartment called yesterday to tell us that we were approved and we could move in...
So now it looks like we will be Floridians as of Nov. 1st! Ok.. I am VERY EXCITED, but a little apprehensive... Just a fear of the unknown kind-of thing... I wanted to share this with you all for more of your wonderful 'Moral support'... I really need it about now, cause my emotions are worse now then when I was preggo.. (dont worry I'm not ) ... and my family thinks I am a little crazy for deciding to go.
I will miss them all, but financially I just see this as the opportunity we need right now... TIA for any imput...
ok... i am gonna try and post picsthe apartments themselves, and the pool...

DH and I are moving to Tampa in a year, we both went to college down there and loved it. I moved back up here as a trial run, but we decided that we are def floridians

Soon there will be enough of us in the state of FL that we can do our own GTG's!
In the two years I have been on here I have yet to be able to make one so I am excited about this thought.

I want to live in Florida SO badly. FH doesn't want to YET though, so we're going to wait it out a few years. I can't wait though. I love warm weather.

Congrats!!! FI and will be moving to Fort Myers Florida in Dec. It is a major move and we have no family there at all but we know that $$$$ it is the best thing for us. Best of luck to you!

Congrats!! As one who has done this both recently and with first hand experience....it is SO hard leaving everything behind, but the prospect of what your new lifestyle will have to offer, such as being a SAHM, far outweigh everything. If you need any advice or anything I'm here!!!!

Just wanted to share .. someone very close to me lost their job just months after getting married .. a few months later .. they were moving south for a new job .. totally to a strange place with no relatives or friends, other than eachother.
Years have past, and they have a beautiful house, wonderful kids, and can't imagine life any different. They've said many times how they're glad they were forced into the move.
What seemed so scary for them, has turned out to be a blessing!!
And just think .. you're taking the initiative on this move!! It sounds like you're on your way to a more wonderful, happy life!!!
