Ok, maybe I am just insane, but I've changed my mind about my favors...
I THINK, at least. I was going to do one wine bottle per couple, but now I don't think I want to do that. I have set my mind on ribbon candy in my wedding colors. I think it is so pretty and I can put it in one of those pretty bags. I would do white and gold ribbon candy. It's so hard to find, though, but so pretty. Here's some pictures of what ribbon candy is, incase you don't know. Is this cheesey? I know it's no bottle of wine, but I just don't want to do the wine anymore.

Honestly I like the wine better. I think the ribbon candy is more for around the holidays. And im not just saying that b/c im doing the wine also lol - that wasnt my first choice either

Ok, here's why I don't want to do wine..besides the fact that if I do it, I want to do one bottle per couple of a nice local wine and it will be a fortune......but....I don't know how to hand the wine out. I don't want it all on the table because it's too bulky, and I don't want to leave it on a favor table with a sign that says one per couple because that seems rude. Argh! I don't know what to do.

I think the ribbon candy is beautiful! What a great idea - too bad I bought my favors already - I think ribbon candy is so pretty looking.

Well if it helps you we are handing them out as we say goodbye to everyone.. but thats just how its done in fh's family. You say goodbye and thank you, they hand you the envelope, you hand them a favor
We are putting them in those cute little wine holder bags... I forget the name.. they werent that expensive to buy in bulk.

I think the ribbon candy is adorable, but isn't it really fragile? I would be nervous that it would be a crushed mess in the bags.

One way to hand out the wine is to attach a tag with the table cards on them. Since you have Mr.& Mrs. on one card they will know that the wine is for the two of them. Just a suggestion. And I agree with what other people said about the ribbon candy being a holiday thing.

I like the candy idea - if it's candy vs. just about anything else, I'd go with candy.
The wine idea is great but as you mentioned, it's expensive. . . as for it being associated with the holidays - the only thing I really associate with the holidays are the holiday m&ms and holiday wrapped hersey's kisses - so as long you stay away from those, you're fine.
and even if some of the candy breaks - it will still taste great and you'll be too busy dancing to notice!
