HI. Yeah - um - I was just talking to my FH who informed me that I won't be allowed to know what his or his groomsmen tuxes look like before the wedding. He said, and I quote - 'I don't get to know what the gown looks like, you don't get to see the tux.' I said, 'OK, but they'll be black, right?' HIs answer, 'Maybe...but I'm not afraid of color.'

Great that he's not afraid of it!!! ***** that apparently I am!!!

Help!?!?!?

oh man, he has a point though! My FH wants to wear white but I perfer black.

FH tried to do this using the same exact logic and I said no. I was terrified b/c he kept talking about how the tuxes were all 'boring'. Knowing him, if I let him decide he'd be in lloyd and harry's suits from dumb and dumber. I told him he could dress up for the RD in anything he wants and he could pick the tuxes, but I have to get final approval of them.

haha boys can be sooo mean!!! i would just really express to him how much you would APPRECIATE and WANT black tuxes! hopefully hell agree and do what you want!

Does your FH have particulary good taste in general??????If he does than you have nothing to worry about. Even if he doesnt the people at the tuxedo shop will help him find a fabulous tux im sure!! Dont worry about it!!! Now if i left it up to my FH they would all show up in Rangers jerseys.

thats scary his ur FH and Mine Friends cuz FH came up with a pimp suit idea what a disaster that will be i ve told him ill walk just right out if he wears anything other than Black,Brown,Grey or 'White' which i dont like n he went we'll see.God pls help Us

my DH told me the same thing 1/2 way through our engagement. but i figured it would be ok, his brother & my brother always make sure they look good when they go out and like to dress up. so i figured he'd be in good hands if it had to be that way.

in the end, DH ended up letting me go with him to the tux shop (probably because i was a pest about it!), and i was there when he picked out his tux. i made sure to keep my mouth shut so he was the one making all the decisions.

we also came up with decisions for the groomsmen .... and i was happy.

when he went back with the guys to order, they changed the groomsmen's vests & ties! but they had swatches with them, and he promised the colors matched.

in the end everyone looked great, so to my hubby & brother & BIL!

My firned did the same thing to his wife but the funny thing is the shop wouldn't let him order the tuxes without her approval to ensure that they would match the girls...he was so pissed
