Ok, ok... Here's my Wedding Review!!! :o)

This is going to be long, just so you know! Well, to start off...

We had our Rehearsal Dinner at Venezia's in Smithtown. It was great! If anyone is looking for a place in Suffolk County, I highly recommend it. The food was great too! (Italian Food)

I just have to say that my FI, wait, I'm sorry... my HUSBAND... (I love saying that ...) told me I looked like an angel walking down the aisle, and that he was really choked up, but held back the tears so no one would pick on him. Everyone told me after the ceremony, all he did was stare at me the whole time, with such love in his eyes. It felt so good. I was holding his hand so tight!!! He knew I was nervous. But once I held his hand, I felt so much better. I was so scared before the ceremony. Oh my god... I've never been so scared! Of course it turned out great. The whole day did!!! It was amazing. It's hard to explain. It's true though what every bride has said on this board... that you need to take many moments and soak everything in, otherwise you miss it. We definitely took the time here and there, to really enjoy ourselves. The day really did go by fast! I'm already having withdrawals. But overall, there were some stuff that happened that I'll tell you next, but everything was beautiful!!!

Well, the main mishap was my HUSBAND's sister and his mother. Let's just say that my SIL is big, and on the wedding day I found out that she never got fitted for her BM dress, she just told them her size, which from what everyone has or will learn, that the dresses run really small. That just tells you that her dress didn't fit. Mainly around her bust. And let me tell you, it's a really big bust!!! Anyway, when the limos arrived at the church, that's when it started. Luckily, my husband and I had no idea what was going on until during the cocktail hour. Everyone kept it from us, so we wouldn't get upset. My SIL got out of the limo, and then my MIL ran up to her, and they got into it. My MIL was yelling at my SIL that she looked like a hoar, and that she cannot go into the church looking like that. (Her chest was sticking out everywhere) Well, they got into it, and was fighting, now it wasn't in front of guests, it was in front of the bridal party, not me either. But, let's just say that we didn't see his sister after that. She was so upset at her mom that she never went to the reception or anything. We still haven't heard from her. Personally, they were both at fault, my MIL shouldn't of said that, and my SIL should of blown it off to a point, and went to her brothers wedding, you know! My husband is upset. She missed a lot!

But, let's go on to the party!!!

RECEPTION: Holbrook Country Club
I really have to recommend this place. It was fabulous! Everyone I'm sure remembers how upset I was because I had to switch locations to save money, well, it was well worth it. The food was excellent. Everyone is saying how great the food, the service, and the staff was. I also wasn't sure how it was going to look in the hall, but I truely was amazed... it was so romantic! They set everything up perfectly! I couldn't of asked for anything better. I'm sure it doesn't sound like a fancy place, but it was the best! The price was great too!

CHURCH: St. Thomas More Parish - Hauppauge
It was really pretty. At the Rehearsal, the priest seemed mean, but at the Ceremony, he was great! We did a unity candle too, and that was really nice.

DJ: Invitation to Dance
They were so much fun! Rick was our MC, and Keith was our DJ. Everyone said such great things about them. They did a great job. A lot of fun!

PHOTOGRAPHY: Paul Marino
WOW!!! That says it all! We picked up all our proofs yesterday, and they're beautiful. He's using a couple of our pictures for his portfolio, and to hang in his studio. He had one he blew up and worked on already that he gave to my husband. His work is so personal and beautiful, and he has such a great personality. I would definitely look at his work. He's all digital now too, so that's really good!

VIDEOGRAPHY: Platinum Video
Well, all I can say is that Pete was great! I forgot he was there most of the time. I'll have to post more about him when I get my video. From what I've seen, his work is beautiful! I'll keep you updated on him!

LIMOS: New York Style Limousines
The cars were beautiful, and the drivers were really nice. The price was great, and the ride from the reception to the hotel was free, and then we got a limo to the airport.

FLOWERS: Flower Michelle Florist
All the flowers were perfect. They came out great. I was so nervous, that I didn't even notice the altar arrangements in the church. I saw them afterwards and thought they were beautiful. The bouquets and centerpieces were really nice. The only thing that was messed up, was that at the reception hall, they were suppose to have lavendar rose petals on the table with votive candles around each centerpiece, and at the church they were suppose to have colored rose petals to throw. Well, they mixed up the petals, and put the colored ones on the tables. It bothered me, but it looked nice still, I just wanted the lavendar on the tables. But overall, they were great!

CAKE: Classic Cake
Now the cake was good, except they messes up on the colors on the icing. Of course that's something that only the bride knows, but it still bothered me. They were suppose to use a lavendar color for the flowers, and stuff, but everything was mostly white, and a dark purple. It didn't look like anything I wanted, but what can you do? Absolutely nothing!!!

Well, I think I summed it up pretty much. If you can think of anything I missed let me know!

Oh... our honeymoon! We went to Disney/Universal for 5 days, and then to the Bahamas for 5 days. We had a great time, but I definitely would of picked the Bahamas over Disney. It was way too expensive! We had a lot of fun, but the Bahamas was absolutely beautiful! The resort we stayed at was the best. We had an ocean view room. Seven miles of beach and then we walked across the street for shopping, eating and bars. We rented a moped, went to the casino, did the Dolphin thing, which was so cool. We drank so much in the Bahamas. We also had a swim up bar in one of the pools, which had an infinity pool (edgeless) which was overlooking the Caribbean. We were so upset that we had to leave.

Out of all my vendors, reception hall, and honeymoon, I highly recommend all of them. I'm not just saying that. Everyone went out of their way for us all day. I wish we could do it all over again! It truly was the best day of my life!!! The next would be to have kids!!!

I'm sure I'm forgetting things!!! I hate that!

Well, thank you to all the brides here and gone, I could never of done it without you! Since I planned it long distance, I found everything by internet. Even my dress! But, I'm not going far, but I have now crossed over to the Newlywed side!!! I can't leave the bride board. I feel like you're my family!!! I'll definitely be around! Love you guys, and thanks!!!

Congratulations!! Sorry to hear your SIL didn't attend the reception - while she should have been fitted for the dress, it's more important to be there and share in the celebration!

Did your SIL attend the ceremony? How sad for your husband that she just left. I am sure she is very ashamed of her behavior.

I am glad the day was beautiful and you had a great time. Did you call the cake vendor? They should do something to make this up to you. I went to a wedding at the Holbrook Country Club and it was very nice.

Melissa sorry about your SIL and the fighting on your wedding day. Luckily you still had a wonderful wedding. I am glad to hear that even though you were nervous you had a great time and were able to take everything in. I hope things go the same for me. I am less than a month away.
