O.k. reccomend me a cheap photographer who doesnt take cheap photos!!

I know, I know... I jsut cant seeing spending THAT much $$! My moms an excellent photographer and will be taking pics but doesnt want to be THE photographer. I dont blame her and would never ask her.. but I KNOW I will already get AWESOME pics...
Im also doing table cameras and use adobe to crop, zoom, bla bla bla....

So now Im talking plain old $$. Which photographers have you used or know of that are cheap but take decent shots?

if you like photojournalism, try Angelica Glass. Her wedding package is priced at 1350 and includes: all proofs, negatives, cds of the digital files, all digital editing including colorizations which are no charge, unlimited film, all day coverage and an engagement shoot! She's amazing!!! If you dont need the engagement photos, i'm sure she can lower the price for you.

pbandtim used her as one of her photographers and was extremely pleased with her. i know of a knottie who hasnt yet had her wedding, but got her e-pics back and loved them.

she doesnt have a studio.

There are a lot of photographers that will work out basic packages with you. Also, you can save a lot by doing your own albums if you just get the proofs from them. My photographer had packages that started out around $1,300 but that included some enlargements and a photo album.

Another thing you could try is find someone who isn't a 'wedding photographer'. My friend hired someone who takes pictures for our local paper and he is giving her the film to develop herself.

Thanks for the advice girls! I am definately doing my own albums anyway... I would never pay their prices! I just want the film!

i believe all the B&W and photojournalistic pics are by angelica. all the posed shots are by another photographer.

Have you looked at nsgraham's site ? She has lots of vendors on there, Angelica Glass used to be there but she asked to be removed. There are so many photographers that are talented and starting out (like Angelica Glass, Marianela Vera, Katie Lyman, etc.) and are great. Good luck!

Here's another suggestion. I was just looking in the Town Crier and there is an ad for a photographer with 20 yrs. experience. Their ad has been in the paper for years and they are still in business, so maybe its worth a shot to check them out. Their ad in the paper says for weddings they do 200 color photos and an album for $495. Their number is 516-579-0245.

Try Queens Bridal Center. They are a vendor on here. They do good work and they just gave me an awesome quote. Plus they do limos, flowers, invitations, etc and you can get a great package deal from them.

Though I love duet, I dont htink they are probably what I would consider reasonable f you ar elooking for basic yet good photography..
I suggest Angelica glass too. I heard rave reviews about her and she works with price somewhat.

Angelica is booked

I knew this would happen moving my wedding from a Sunday to a Saturday! Everyones going to be booked already! Especially in the summer!
