Ok, so....

Ok, so....

I had my meeting with my headmaster about my contract for next year, that all went great, I love working there, they love having me work there, yada, yada, yada...well, we were chit chatting before I left, and he asked me (again) where JT works, so I told him...then he paused and asked, 'Does he make a lot of money?' I was just like, OMG, I can't believe he just asked me that! Seeing as I make CRAPPY money, I answered with the following for a little jab, 'Actually, the pay is terrible, but he LOVES his job, so he thinks it's totally worth it.' What the hell was I supposed to say? I just answered the question as if he asked ME. There's no need for him to know if JT makes a lot of money or not, and I got the feeling he was feeling me out to see if I was going to quit after I get married. I was appauled, to say the least.

I had to practically hold my jaw up off the floor. Trust me, I was quite shocked, as well.

I have to say that I agree with all the previous posters. There will (unfortunately) always be people in this world with no tact! I probably would not have thought of as good a response as you though. I think I would have just stood ther with my mouth hanging open

Re: Ok, so....

SO inappropriate!!!

The right answer would have been with another question, I suppose...like 'Why do you ask?'
