ok.. so i need your help regarding dj's

how tacky is it to have a wedding without an mc? has anyone had a reception (or been to one) without an MC and did the crowd still go crazy and have just as much fun? we're definetely on a budget and im not really willing to cut corners when it comes to my photographer and such, so i was thinking maybe i could save like 400 bucks on not having an MC and just having the DJ. please help!

I think it is fine if your crowd is mostly younger or if you have a lot of really outgoing people

Talk to your DJ and discuss it, in our experience, we found them to be quite honset about this and the 2 DJ's we met with both said that it really wasn't necessary for us.
