But when do you have to book out a block of rooms in a hotel? I have a ton of OOT guests and I'm not sure when I should start looking for rates and what not. Any suggestions?

Well I'm having my wedding in Sea Cliff at the Sans Souci. The hotels that are really close like the glen cove mansion and roslyn claremont are REALLY expensive. I started looking into the Hilton Garden Inn and Holiday Inn in Westbury
I went with the Syosset Fairfield inn since it had the best reviews!

Definitely the sooner the better! We have a lot of OOT guests as well. We've already checked out 3 hotels. We are going to go with Viana Hotel & Spa http://www.liweddings.com/chat/topic.aspx?ID=737664&Highlight=viana

They were actually the cheapest!! They just opened in Oct. and everything is gorgeous and brand new! But since they are just starting up they have super low rates right now! The block rate we were quotes was $145! They are affiliated with The Great Neck Inn and Four Points Sheraton
