OK, we decided to keep with the house that we are in contract with.
We have been in contract since March and closing should have been around 5/15. We lost our 5.8 interest rate and I wanted to start looking for another house and we did, but havent found anything for this price range with everything we are getting. In other words its a good deal. The house needs alot of work (cosmetically) and I know we can do it the first year so now it looks like we are going to close sometime in Aug, which at least gives me time to finish wedding planning.

We changed our interest rate from a thirty year fixed to a five year one arm because we don't think we will be living in the house for more than three years. Our interest rate was a lot lower.

Why did the closing get delayed? Besides the typical bank BS.

My closing got delayed (to make a long story short) because the sellers need a guardianship appt to them because they were moved by family members to MA and put in a home. Also, I just found out that the court date is 6/25 and then approx a month afterwards the paperwork is signed by the judge then we can close. I am assuming we will close sometime in Aug.
