Ok, who uses an eyelash curler?

I would love to try one. My lashes are so short! Whats a good brand to try? I'm nervous my lashes will fall out or break though.

Re: Ok, who uses an eyelash curler?

I use one sometimes. I'm too lazy to use it during the week, although it takes 2 seconds. I think mine is Revlon from Walgreens. It works pretty good.

Re: Ok, who uses an eyelash curler?

They won't break or fall through! I think I use Maybelline--pretty cheap and it makes SUCH a difference! I curl, then mascara, then curl again--they look so much longer that way. Then I apply a second coat of mascara only on the side of the eyelashes away from the nose (does that make sense?)...Good luck!

Re: Ok, who uses an eyelash curler?

ok this may sound wierd, but i feel naked if my eyelashes are not curled... i need to do it, plus it is such an eye opener. I blow dry my curler 1st..the heat sets the curl.

Re: Ok, who uses an eyelash curler?

I only use one occasionally, but I have Shu Uemura, which is considered to be one of the best. You can get it at Sephora.

Oh boy, I'll try it this weekend. The makeup lady did them for my wedding and I loved them. I am so excited to try!

this is the exact one I have, its great.. doesn't tug and is gentle on the lashes.

I cannot stand the way my lashes look when they aren't curled.. they just stick straight out

Also, if you rather forego the curler, the curling mascaras are pretty good.. I think practically every company has a version of 'curling masacaras' out there

Re: Ok, who uses an eyelash curler?

OK girls, don't make fun of me. I use a spoon, have used that for years! everybody in family uses the spoon to curl eyelashes.
They look more natural and don't break or fall at all.
It's not hard to do it, it's just practice!

Re: Ok, who uses an eyelash curler?

I have the Shu Umora too, but I don't notice much differnce than the Revlon, but it feels a little firmer, when you clamp it.
It is not painful at all, * my lashes don't fall out.

Just makesure you don't have mascara on when you do it.

ETA: I want to knwomore abotu the sponn too!
I haven't ahd luckwithtehcurlignmascaras,I think mylashesare too short, btu the curler works.

they have heated, ones but they scare me & FH would freak if I bought one, he is already grossed out enough that I out anythingnear, in, on my eyes at all. He thinks its all very dangerous!

hmm, that's a good tip, and somehow less scary
than one that heats itself.

I use one too and it is very easy to use and makes a difference - I was surprised. I have the Revlon metal drugstore one and it works fine.

Re: Ok, who uses an eyelash curler?

They won't fall out or break. You will be so surprised at how easy it is. My DH always says how can I do it w/o pulling on it but you just don't. It's like how one just knows not to poke their eye out when putting in contacts.

I just saw one last night. I think it's Covergirl? Plastic curler. They have a spongy 'curler barrel' so your lashes shouldn't stick.

I hardly use mine, and I should since when I do I always get compliments on my 'lovely eyes!'

Re: Ok, who uses an eyelash curler?

I depend on mine. Try Japonesqe from Bigelow in the Village or the famous one Shu Uemura.
