We are paying for the limo's and the flowers.. but my sister is my makeup artist and my MOH and she's only doing my makeup, my mom's and hers.. she also has my 2 nephews to get ready (ring bearers) and my stylist is only doing the 3 of us as well.. Everyone else is on their own

This is also why I was a lil annoyed when a BM told me I shouldn't have a certain bok for them, b/c it's..It's my wedding, we're paying for it (w/ the help from FIL's)... IMHO, it's none of the BM's business what we're paying for flowers & or Limos....

And I agree - no business of the BMs...
as far as i know.....the groom and bride are responsible for that stuff...they dont pay for transportation, or flowers....
I have never been in a wedding where I (as a BM) had to pay for the Limo or Flowers....that the responsibility of the bride and groom.... If you're tight on money, I don't think it would be unreasonable to have your girls pay for their own hair and makeup...unless that is the BM Gift.... But personally, i've been a number of weddings and have always paid for my own hair/make up! Good Luck!

yeah we are supposed to pay for that, in the weddings im this year the bride and groom are paying for our flowers
ok for the record, I agree with you all it is on us. I was just saying that in other cultures other things are the norm. Because I was raised her and am what my mom would call completely Americanized we are paying for the flowers, transportation and so on. My mom is having issues getting used to that idea but its not up to her. So maybe your BM was in a wedding with someone who might think its completely acceptable to have them pay for those things, so she assumed that she would have to dish out the cash for your wedding as well.
ok, I personally never heard of that & I was confused, then I felt bad that my bo-k's were thought to be expensive from one of my BM's, that's why I was surprized, when I heard that she thought those above mentioned items were her financial responsibility. That's why I thank you for sharing your mothers point of view with me. I've only been in Traditional American Catholic Weddings. The first Jewish Wedding I will be a part of is my own. In fact the BM that I was discussing has only been in South American weddings. Thank you for sharing this information with me I relly appreciate it. I know feel as though I have an understanding in to my friends perspective....Especially with awarkward matters to discuss like money.
