Ok, my ex-husband just called and is coming to my job at 4:30 when I get out because he needs to talk to me for two minutes. I'm so mad at myself for not just asking him on the phone what it is about. But I always get nervous talking to him. So now I'm sitting here coming up with horrible thoughts in my head & freaking myself out. I have already told everyone here that he's coming so they know to be on the alert. Just have no idea what it could be about and it's probably nothing but the mind can play alot of games with you.
Thanks for letting me vent.

This is not my business, but was he abusive? If he was, BE CAREFUL. If he wasn't, then just keep calm and see what he has to say.
Good luck!

He was never physically abusive but he does have quite a temper.

Re: Okay ladies-help calm me down!!
everything will be fine, i think it wouldve probably been best to not have agreed to talk to him in person and just keep the convo on the phone, but since hes already on his way just hear him out see what he has to say, and then go on with your happy life w/your fiance, your getting married soon and nothing can change that!

Thanks, ladies. I'm still trying to decide if I should let him come here or if I should try and call him back to tell him I have to leave early so we can talk on the phone if he wants. It's probably nothing but my gut is telling me not to see him in person.

Good luck. Go with your gut feeling. He should be able to talk with you over the phone rather than in person. If he insists on in person, then have him come into your office so that other people are around just in case you need help.
On the other hand, is there something good in him that maybe he wants to wish you a happy wedding ?

Yeah, I would definitely call him back and ask him what it's regarding. Always trust your gut.

Do you have a friend at work that will hang around with you while he is talking to you. Also try your best not to be afraid in the future and tell him it is not convenient for him to come to your job...then ask him to speak on the phone. Hopefully it will be just nonsense. Do you have children together? If you do then that's another reason to have someone with you to witness what is said. Good luck!!!!
I just read the other posts....definitely call him back if you can and ask what it is about over the phone.

No, we don't have kids; that's why I don't see any reason why we should have to talk.

I would definitely do this!!!! I know you said he never was abusive but if he has a temper then I would be worried. Do you have any idea what he wants to talk about? Does he know you are getting remarried? Has it been a long time since you talked to him last??? You don't have to answer these personal questions... I am just trying to figure out what he would want to talk to you about... it is hard not knowing your prior history with him. Just be careful and either do it over the phone or have someone there with you to watch out for you. Let us know what happens.

Re: Okay ladies-help calm me down!!
I'm trying to get his cell# from one of our mutual friends so I can call him and let him know that I had to leave work early but if he wants to talk on the phone we can. Yes, he knows I'm getting married. We actually spoke about three weeks ago on the phone because his sister was emailing me asking me how can I be getting married when I'm not even divorced (Hello, we've been divorced for over a year & a half.) She said he wasn't aware of it and why was I worried that he was going to ruin my wedding. So I ended up calling him to straighten some things out. He thought he signed separation papers, not divorce papers. I told him I was upset because he was threatening FH. He said he never did. Just the whole thing back & forth. I ended up sending him another copy of divorce papers.

um, now i would be pretty worried. he didn't know he signed divorce papers? i don't know your situation... but that sounds extremely fishy to me.

I completely agree!!! I definitely wouldn't meet with him now. How did he NOT know he signed divorce papers!!!! I think he is full of CRAP!!!!! Does he know where you are getting married that you are going to have to worry about him showing up??? If so I would definitely get a restraining order and maybe have some security at the wedding.
