Old Field Club - Setauket

Has anyone held their wedding reception (with or without the ceremony) at the Old Field Club in Setauket? I fell in love w/the place especially the room online and recently went to take a look in person. Any type of feedback would be helpful positive and negative.

I bumped Aug07OFCbride's review in the The Bride's Review for you...she got married there and her review is very detailed (along with awesome pictures )

I am planning on looking at Old Field Club as well...is it as pretty in person as it is online?

i JUST WENT TO OUR TASTING ON SATURDAY AND IT WAS AWESOME....THE FOOD WAS DELISH AND THEY HAVE MADE SOME BEAUTIFUL RENOVATIONS...

IT'S AWESOME!!!!

I HAVE SOME PICS ON THE POST I MADE ON THE 09 BOARD..

Any thoughts re: 'bridal suite' and bathrooms? That is one reason why I wasn't completely sold...

they just re did the bridal suite...not sure what specifically you are looking for in there but the furniture int here is really pretty and the room is a great size...

this place is beautiful and i heard all excellent reviews about the place! The only thing that i remember that i was a little turned off about was that the bar was litarlly on the dance floor......i might be thinking of another place though (i've seen too many so i get them mixed up sometimes lol)

the bar and the dance floor are together...which is one of the thing FH and I loved...

Yup. The Bar and the danefloor are one in the same. But that didnt bother me too much.
As far as the suite...I didnt hate it...I wished that there had been another private bathroom for the bridal party and myself. But it def is spacious. Did you bring in decorations at all for that room? what about the bathroom? It was def outdated and small. Was their an attendant in the bathroom on your wedding day? Did they provide a basket of toiletries - I forgot to ask when I was there :)

I am getting married there in May...the bathroom to me were fine...everything was very clean and I know my florists includes flowers and decor for both the bathrooms and bridal suite...

i know that there is some issue that there is no seperate bathroom..but with a place like OFC there has to be a little give and take...there are not too many place available on long island that don't give you that catering hall look...OFC brides are usually looking for a house or town and country feeling...

toiletries and such you usually have to assemble your own bathroom baskets...

Thank you! Well I am not giving up on the place :) Just wanna get some prespective as I am new to this whole thing :) I really do love everything else about it....They are holding the date for me which lets me really give it some thought.

I visited there yesterday. I'm curious as to what they are quoting. They quoted me 130 pp and didn't seem negotiable b/c they are pretty well booked (unlike some other places post-economic-downturn). Thoughts on this? Anyone else willing to share their quote/booked price?

This is my favorite place and it's on our high end price-wise so could use some feedback!
