I have just been informed that a SONIC has opened up where the Pizza Hut was across from the Walt Whitman mall.

Has anyone been near this area recently to verify this? OMG if this is true, I am so excited!!!!

LOVE Cracker Barrel! They have the best hashbrown casserole and biscuits and gravy!!

I was just saying how I would take the ferry across to CT JUST to go to the cracker barrel on the I-95. Apparently, I'm still hungry.

OMG Sonic! My sister lives in NC and has Sonic, Chick-fil-A, Cracker Barrel and Steak and Shake....amazing!!!!!!!!!!! I would be the thousand pound woman if I lived in the South!

When I go to MIL's house in Myrtle Beach, DH and I always hit up Sonic. LOVES IT!!!!!

I think they need to stop playing commercials for delicious looking food chains that don't even exist on the Island!

They do that because its cheaper on a price point to buy nationally than it is to buy only in their markets...sorry I do advertising for a living...haha

And that old Pizza Hut is most certainly a Chipolte, sorry to disappoint!

For the city gals, has anyone tried Schnippers Quality Kitchen on 40th and 8th? Its right across from Port Authority and it is AMAZING!

Yeah that commercial made me get up and go google Joe's Crab Shack the first time I saw it. These commercial give me food blue balls.

I've had an in n out burger. There's a secret when you order the burger you HAVE to order it Animal style....it's has yummy onions; cheese and tons of other stuff on it. Also order the fries animal style. This is not on their menu; when I was in CA my frined took me to in n out and told me about animal style....so YUMMY!!!!!

CRACKER BARREL!!! When we go to Six Flags we leave extra early and go to the one in NJ for breakfast! DH gets the sourdough french toast (TO DIE FOR!) and I get the biscuits and fried apples and hashbrown casserole. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!

AWW!! Honestly, you can't be too adventurous there lol. It's definitely fast food, but there are some yummy guilty pleasures there that always work for me! Like the fried mac n cheese nuggets! SO guilty but good! And like I mentioned earlier, I always get the cheeseburger on texas toast and it's sooo yums! Those two are what I always get lol. Then for dessert a peanut butter sundae! They have super good soft serve sundaes with every topping from peanut butter sauce, to fudge, marshmallow, caramel and butterscotch! And what's better than pulling up to a menu, not leaving your car and having a girl skate your food out to you!

Aside from Sonic not being in NY the other fast food place that I LOVEEEEEEE is Chick-fil-A!!! The closest one is in NJ. I used to live in NC and ate at Chick-fil-A all the time. If you have never had it then I suggest that if you are ever in another state and see one STOP!! (unless it's on Sunday because they are closed)

Ooh I used to love it too, but say no to Chick-fil-A... my friend found a dead frog in her salad there in DC. YUCK!!!! This is not an urban legend, this really happened. I won't go there anymore.

FBIL is the manager of a Chevys, I wouldn't mind having one of those on LI.

I also wish we had a WAWA, nothing is better then a WaWa hoagie. I lived at WaWa in college. FH stopped there on the way home from his bachelor party and got one. I AM JEALOUS. My favorite part of going to the NJ shore when we go late at night is stopping for Wawa coffees and hoagies.

I go to the one on the way to VT, I love the Cracker Barrel. Especially for lunch.

Oh you know what I miss a ton from living in DC... Cosi. I loved Cosi.

We could still see all these places. When I first moved to DC I had never heard of Panera or Chipotle. Now they are both common place around here.
