FH and I have been trying to find an affordable vacation to go on this summer, and its been REALLY difficult!!
For the girls who know the story - FH wants to give me my official e-ring, and he wanted to do it as he had orginally planned to do it on our Cruise in 2006, when he first proposed. So that is why we are squeezing this trip in. We're going to use our rebate from the gov't to go..and for ours birthdays, anniversary and valentines day we kept the gifts to around $20 just to save for this - and I can't believe its really happening!
We just booked 5 days, 4 nites in Puerto Rico for $1171!! Including flights!!
I asked my boss today if it was ok since I just started this job and she said it was no problem at all. Plus, I'm going to work overtime on Thursday to have a little extra money
I just had to share my excitement..when I come home I should have a pretty little ring to show you girls--FINALLY!

That is great I love going to Puerto Rico. I believe you do not have to spend tons of money to have a great vacation. Have alot of fun

You and me both!! lolz. I dsigned it with FH and the jeweler and I am DYING to see how it came out! He's had it for over a month already and he tried giving it to me once already but held back lolz

How exciting... we had a great time in P.R. make sure you go take a tour around the ports, there is a free bus and there is a guy that sells the best pina colada ice cream and go to the outlets and shop too

The InterContinental San Juan Resort and Casino..we were trying to deceide between a few, but this one is close to the airport, and it has a subways, burgerking, wendys and even a walgreens across the street..which is why we choose it lolz..we don't have a lot of $ to spend on food and drinks so this is going to help temendously!!! Oh, the joys of being a bride on a budget!

It's a 5min ride from the San Juan Airport, in Isla Verde..it's called the InterContinental San Juan Resort and Casino..
Anyplace you recommend we go see?? We were thinking the Rainforest and maybe go into Old San Juan. But at the same time, we really have to keep the trip as cheap as possible, so if the hotel is keeping us occupied we might just stay and lay out there
