PUERTO RICOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

FH and I have been trying to find an affordable vacation to go on this summer, and its been REALLY difficult!!

For the girls who know the story - FH wants to give me my official e-ring, and he wanted to do it as he had orginally planned to do it on our Cruise in 2006, when he first proposed. So that is why we are squeezing this trip in. We're going to use our rebate from the gov't to go..and for ours birthdays, anniversary and valentines day we kept the gifts to around $20 just to save for this - and I can't believe its really happening!

We just booked 5 days, 4 nites in Puerto Rico for $1171!! Including flights!!

I asked my boss today if it was ok since I just started this job and she said it was no problem at all. Plus, I'm going to work overtime on Thursday to have a little extra money

I just had to share my excitement..when I come home I should have a pretty little ring to show you girls--FINALLY!

Yay!! That's awesome. I think we're doing our honeymoon in Puerto Rico...the San Juan Hotel and Casino. If you are around there, let me know how it is!! Have a great time!!!!!!!

hmm..the one I'm staying at is called the InterContinental San Juan Resort Hotel & Casino, would that be the same one? If so I'll def let you know how it goes!! I know there's also one called the El San Juan, so maybe thats the one your talking about?!

Thanks girls!! I'm super-excited I think it actually set in over-nite..sorry I responded like a million times but I seriously am like over-joyed!

It's a 5min ride from the San Juan Airport, in Isla Verde..it's called the InterContinental San Juan Resort and Casino..

Anyplace you recommend we go see?? We were thinking the Rainforest and maybe go into Old San Juan. But at the same time, we really have to keep the trip as cheap as possible, so if the hotel is keeping us occupied we might just stay and lay out there

Old San Juan is nice for a day of walking around. They have El Morro, a fort, it was okay if you like history. It would have been better if it was a guided tour. Try the tripleta sandwiches in the park, they were sooo yummy We went to eat at the Parrot Club, but it's pretty pricey. We went to a club called Lazer. It was a young crowd with lots of reggaeton. We also went on a party boat called La Rumba. The best thing we did in San Juan was a combo tour. It took us to El Yunque (rainforest), Luquillo beach and then to Farjardo to kayak through the mangroves into the bioluminescent bay. The bay was the most magical experience. We were able to get off the kayaks and swim around in the glowing water.
