OMG. Hotel Block!!

So I am providing a shuttle and day after breakfast. I didn't think more than 15 rooms will be blocked. So today is the last day and my hotel sent me the list and I have 37 rooms blocked and people are still telling me that they are booking tonight (about another 7 rooms). I am going to have about 100 people stay. That is half my wedding. I am grateful and look forward to the day but my breakfast bill is going to run me $3,000.

Wow! That's crazy! I have a block of rooms at the Islandia Marriot, but my fiance and I plan on staying somewhere else...to avoid having the whole breakfast thing the next day!

NRauch...I think you are at the Watermill, right? Are you having a cigar roller, if so, who did you book with and when are you having them come?

do you have to do breakfast through the hotel>? or can you rent a conference room at the hotel and then just do your own breakfast - e.g. have catered bagels, etc.

just a thought to keep your costs down
