i hate this so much. i thought i was soooo lucky and my FILS are so great and this is going to be a breeze. Well after 2 weeks and 14 venues i FINALLY find one i LOVE which is the RIGHT price. me and my planner spent all day yesterday negotiating while FH throws curveballs at every corner nitpicking on the smallest details. finally we come to an agreement on pricing and food that i am happy with and i finally convince FH and everything is great until he decides we should send the contract to ALL our parents to review and all of a sudden its a sh*tstorm with both moms wanting to change/add things that keep jacking up the price and make me feel totally useless and like an idiot and FH is at work and yelling at me that its not his fault and I'M the one who has to go back and forth with everyone over and over even thoughh HE is the reason it took so long to find an f-ing venue and i'm soooooooooooooooooooooo frustrated and crying and i want to bury my head in a pillow until my wedding day and grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i hate this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ypu i think so too.... ask FH does he still need mommy to tuck him in at night....(not being harch, but still) you and FH can do this on your own!!

haha he kinda does....not to that extent cuz he is VERY responsible but he takes his mom opinion/word very seriously and still uses her for most decisions (and often to make his dr's appointments lol)

And just think this is only the RH you are booking! This happened with my family and FH's family for every single vendor we booked. FH and I finally decided that we were going to sign all contracts together without any input (we are both attorneys so felt that we knew what to look for better then our parents anyway), but that still didn't stop my FMIL from asking us why we didn't want an 'adult' with us when we signed the contract for our band!!!!! I was like the last time I checked we are ADULTS!!!

FH has no right yelling at you when HE STARTED this whole thing. Why did your parents need to see a contract, unless of course they are paying for the wedding. But because I am assuming they are not, they need not approve ideas only give their opinions when solicited. Take a deep breath and know that this too shall pass...hopefully soo!

Welcome to the darkside. I feel your pain. You have to be strong. Even if they are paying for part of it, it is your day. I have to remind myself of that constantly, because if I didn't, I'd want to bury someone else, not myself. I'm saying a prayer for you! Stay strong!

Tell them that if they want to add stuff, they'll need to fork over the extra money and call the vnue and get it done themselves.
They shouldn't be doing that to you; you had everything settled, there shouldn't be any more fiascos
