ETA: ok well the 'i'll get you naked by the end of this song' lyric -- sorta makes sense now why it was done. Still is completely tasteless, for her and for CBS.

Singing in the halftime show is so sad and pathetic that this is what they need to stoop to? How about they work on improving the $hitty lip syncing instead of showing boobage?

I don't know why this is such a big deal the darn show was crap, so I guess they had to make up for it by showing boobage. Who cares, bring on some real singers, now that is what I would call real entertainment. I guess the men would think otherwise and I guess this will be the talk of all men in the office tomorrow. On every newspaper and all news, like I need anymore of this

I love Janet. I must admit that when it happened I was like did that just happen? was that her boobie (besides being really embarassed because I was watching it with FFIL) Im not really sure if it was CBS material but hey who cares! Im sure CBS will be in trouble for this tomorrow. Congrats Holly on your patriots winning!

I agree, the show was sucky...all the songs they sung were at least 6 month old or older...shows that todays music stinks and they had to go old school w/ the songs and show Janets boob.

Edit to add...I really don't think that was a pastey at all! that was total BOOB!

Its a scandal of the highest proportions...BOOBGATE!!

I had no problems with the songs being older at all but when that happened, it totally turned me off. I can remember when I was younger my mom would always make a big deal over the halftime show because the game itself meant nothing to the girls in the house. She would make chocolate chip cookies and my dad would turn over the tv for the 10 minutes that it lasted. I cant even imagine my kids seeing that...that would make me even more pissed! That was just so damn distasteful!

I don't watch the superbowl but of course when that happen DH friend call to let him know.

I think that was totally inappropriate for the game. Little kids watch that.

Its sad that one can not sit down to watch a football game without being bought into pornography. ugh

When was she on? I heard that she was added to the line up, but didn't see her.

I was very disappointed with the show. I was commenting to FH on why they picked Janet Jackson to perform. She hasn't had anything new if 3 years.

I personally wasn't bothered by the boobie showing but I do think it was inappropriate for a sporting event on CBS.

I think the tassle makes it 'appropriate' for TV although I have to say I was shocked...

Well good golly miss molly!! This is just as lame as it gets, madonna kissing britney, now Janet seeing how far she can push the line of public nudit without getting arrested for it. I man these people should realy have their heads examined. I am not stunned at all. I mean somebody has to top the whole britney kissing madonna thing I suppose. But this was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lame. I have to admit that I did not see it, but I can only imagine that it revived her performance. Singing was mediocre and her gyrating with Justin is all part of the spectacle. Does anybody know whether or not the boob exposure was planned or not? Or do you think she should be firing her stylist for not 'securing' her into her clothes?

I thought her boob was covered because it appeared to be so white, much lighter than her skin tone. I guess I was wrong and FH was right.

What is with CBS? One minute they say they knew about it and then the next they are shocked and claiming they did not know about it.

It looks to me like it was planned. I doubt that Janet Jackson walks around with a tassle covering her nipple all the time.

I personally didn't like the half time show anyway. I would rather see one person sing an entire song or two than ten people sing a few lines from one song.

Super Bowl Half-time shows are so freakin' stupid and dumb. They are filled with a bunch no talent artists that are completely full of themselves. (Allright.. the show with U2 was good, I admit)but this is football.

They should cut out this waste of time BS. Do you think a guy who'll sit in 10 degree weather gives a s--- about Justin 'I Have No Talent'-Lake? JMHO.

I watching it with my 9 year old niece and you should have seen her face! Yeah right, it was an accident, leather doesn't rip like that and why would she have a nipple cover on just for the hell of it?!?!?!

I was cooking during halftime and missed this completly. I hard about it on the news this morning. I really hope it was not intentional. How sad they feel they need to resort to this, with families watching, to be popular
