Matt and I just made an offer and they accepted. We bought a 2 bedroom co-op in Smithtown. We are NOT ready to buy a house yet- WAAYYYY too much work etc. We wanted to buy something at a great price so we still had the ability to travel and do things together w/o feeling strapped forcash all the time!!!!
I cant believe it. We just started looking Thutrsday. But thats us, when we see something we go for it. No reason to wait

Wow that was fast, but it seems like it was meant to be..you both seem so excited! CONGRATS, I only hope it is that easy for me and FH. May I ask where in Smithtown? We love the idea of a co-op/condo also before we buy a house.

Congrats Michele!! What wonderful news! I totally understand your reason not ready for a house yet. FI and I just bought my parents house, because I can't bear to see the house I knew my whole life sold to someone else, and we are so poor now! .... but it's an awesome feeling to own a piece of this earth

Fh andI were also thinking of going to co-op route..so we'll OWN something, but we won't have the expense and work of a house until we can afford it.
