On a happier note, I need outfit advice...

My bday is Thursday, and FH has a wholeeeeeee day planned for Saturday (hence why I couldn't make the wedding of the year). He is taking me out to eat Saturday night, and its a surprise, the only clue was 'its fancy/trendy'- what a combo. Soooooo what should I wear. I have a black dress that I could wear, but I don't wanna be over dress. And if I wear jeans, what if it makes me appear under dressed?

Fashion Help please

I think nice jeans with heels or riding boots with a nice top can be great for a nice dinner! You also may be more comfortable in jeans than a dress if you have a whole day out...I always wear nice jeans and a long sweater with boots to nice restaurants in the city lately...

The weather is supposed to be sunny and in the high 30s next Saturday!

well during the day, he told me to dress casual, so I can totally wear jeans with riding boots or something.... but I know we are coming home before dinner...

ask FH what you should wear ... find out if you need fancy clothes or not.

i'd probably lean towards the dress, unless he says it's absolutely non appropriate.

have an awesome time

Oh different story then..I say go for the dress! Its a special occasion, when else do you get to wear a dress for dinner? I'm sure you will not look weird if you are more overdressed than others...I'd rather be over than under anyways

this is a good point. I'd rather be over dressed than underdressed too...
