On a lighter note - Favor related

In case any of you girls are at a total loss for what to give as a favor, let me tell you what I'm doing.

I'm giving a donation to the Little Shelter in Huntington with a cookie shaped like a dog or cat. I went there today and met with Arleen. This is SUCH a worthy charity if you're an animal lover! She took me around the whole place. They have 6 acres and they also are in the process of building an animal sanctuary upstate. I got to pet all of the cats and dogs! They're a no kill shelter, so the animals are safe and sound there! They had 3 adorable little puppies that looked like a shepherd mix - I wish I could have taken them home - and so many sweet kitties!! Anyway girls, if you're at a loss for where to donate, I can tell you that the money definitely goes to good use at Little Shelter!

Also, they give you a really nice little card for your reception with photos of cats & dogs adn a little think about Little Shelter.

Here's a picture of the card they give you - its cut in a few pieces but it woudl really be just one3 piece, folded, and the 2 pages w/the photos would be on the inside.

Believe it or not they did not have ANY long haired kitties there! Claudette is a domestic long hair. She might be the prettiest cat ever.

No luck on the cookies yet! We may make them. But I did pass a cookie place on the way to Little Shelter today that I'vev been meaning to look up online...

Yes, I'm so excited about this. I knew I wanted to do it, but when I went to the shelter today and got to meet all of the animals and pet them! Its such a nice, caring shelter and I know my money will be put to good use!
