? on gasoline

the car dealership says we could use regular gasoline in the car. fh wants to use the premium since we don't fill up the tank every week. could anything happen to the car if we use the premium instead of regular.

Nope, you will just be wasting money...If the car only takes 87 octane, there is no need to put 93 octane in because that extra octant will just be burnt offf and wasted, so all you will do is waste the money spent on the gas

Well, I think if the manufacturer suggests just the regular, it is better to use that. My SIL has a Honda Civic and she said that when she first got the car, she was using premium and the car was running sort of weird. She brought it to the dealership and when she told them she was using premium, they told her to stop and after that, she said it ran fine.

I agree. We were so happy when we were told we didn't need to use the premium in our second new car---as we have to do in our first one.

Yep, use regular. It's a waste if your car is supposed to take regular.

Use regular. It's a complete waste to use anything else if the car isn't made for it, and I think it can even hurt the engine (not sure on this though...I think I heard someone tell me that once). Premium gas isn't at all 'better' if your car isn't designed to use it.
