I know there have been plenty of complaints from past brides regarding Royal Prestige. Your information ends up getting to them from any kind of bridal show you attend. They call you and tell you that you've won a free honeymoon, that all they ask of you is to sit through a presentation. They sell very pricey china. Well it seems a few people complained to channel 9 and they sent in an investigator to check it out. It will air tonight at 10 if anyone is interested.

I heard the commercial for the story on the news also! My thing is...is it Royal Prestige or Century 21? I have heard bad things about Century 21.

Re: On the news tonight: Royal Prestige?
My friend used to work for Royal Prestige while in college. It's not a 'scam' persay ... more of a telemarking ploy to get people to come in and buy their products ... it's no worse than those company's that send you to Disney for $99 and a 7-hour presentation on timeshares. It's annoying that they call and it is shady that they don't tell you up front that that is what they are doing but it's legit from what I understand. It's all telemarketing.

FH and I went! Sat through the 3 hour long presentation which they said would only be an hour. Didn't buy anything and walked away with a 3 day vacation. We haven't attempted to use this 'vacation' but whatever, it was a waste of time!

See, when we went, I promised myself I'd stay in control (or as much as I could). We went on a Sunday (only day FH and I are off together) and there was just us and the sales guy. It kind of starts out really pushy, but we just sat there, gave our honest opinions, and let the man do his thing.
When it came time to 'buy', he asked what we wanted and I broke out my haggling skills, even tho I had a KILLER migraine.

What a scam, and to top it all off, when we had to sit thru the presentation 2 years ago , my then FH now my DH was starting to fall asleep and the guy screamed at him and tried to embarass him , what a shady and lousy company they deserve to be exposed.
