On the topic of Brazillian (TMI warning)

Original post by alina

I am thinking of getting done for the wedding but dont' know how many days before I should go?

I have sensitive skin, and am thinking of going to bliss, since I have never waxed anywhere along the bikini line (I shaved). Also, does it hurt from stubble when it grows back? How soon does it start to grow back? Do I need to bring razors on my honeymoon with me?

Thanks

Another followup question. My wedding is on the 5th, but the only appt. I could get at Bliss was on thursday the 26th, about 9 days before. Is it too early? I don't want to go with random people, and the 2 persons that were recommended to me were super booked Now I found two more names by looking at the Knot posts, perhaps I'll try those ladies then? Help!!!

Great question! I was thinking of surprising FI for our wedding night with a Brazillian wax, but was wondering how many days before the wedding I should do this.

again, it all depends on your HM length!

I did it at Bliss. Her name was LISA and she was great. Talked me through the whole thing and it didn't hurt at all.

It was $85 I think for the top of the leg and brazilian bikini. I had it done 3 weeks ago and I am starting to grow in now. Definitely don't need a ravor for your legs on your HM. Your underarms are another story!!! I had those waxed too and that was a HUGE waste. Very painful and it did not last.!!

Don't want to scare you guys but..

I do most of mine myself at home

All depends on how brave you are!

Re: On the topic of Brazillian (TMI warning)

I like the ones where the wax is already on the strips.. the liquid is really tough for those spots (I got burned really bad the first couple times). I had an allergic reaction to a couple brands before I found one that works good for me. Right now I'm using the ones by Sally Hansen - I get the box with all different size strips. Be prepared though - it takes a while to do because you practically need to be a contortionist, and I recommend a good bottle of wine to go along with it!!

Also, if you don't wax on a regular basis, you may need a few boxes of the strips the first time to get it all, and you may need to do it a couple different times (I do as much as possible, wait 3 days, do some more until I'm done)

Allright. Rlivings, I'll try to schedule the appt with Lisa. Here is my wedding schedule:

July 5 - Wedding Day
July 8 - Depart for Honeymoon
July 18 - Come back for Honeymoon.

Should I shoot for July 1st or 2nd, or can I do it the 3rd (will it be too close to the big day?)

Thanks

Yay, I scheduled it for the 3rd now... With Lisa. It better not hurt by the 5th, or else
