On this cold day, let's talk about the BLUE BLUE water of the carribbean!
Still on the honeymoon search.Questions for those who have been all over the carribean and Mexico:
Is the water in Mexico (Riviera) as blue as the water in the carribean islands?
Is the water in Cabo San Lucas as blue??
FH has never seen the blue blue waters of the carribean, or set foot on that powdery white sand. He is a beach boy, and the only three things he wants out of a vacation are Amazing Beach, Secluded and Spa.
I WANT TO MAKE HIM CRY WHEN HE SEES IT! The prices on the best beaches in the carribean are too much - St John, Anguilla, Turks....thats where Mexico came into the picture.
Any thoughts on the quality of the beaches, water, sand, crowds in Mexico??

go on a cruise. you can usually find really good deals. check out yahoo or expedia.. dont go by book prices.i think they're great because for the same price as going to 1 place you can go to like 3 or more.
as far as beaches.. if you want to go snorkeling.. cozumel was great and so was belize.
FH and i went on a cruise back in may and went to this private island near belize and it was absolutely amazing. he had never been snorkeling before and doesn't even like beaches, but that got him hooked.

the water really is that crystal clear blue.. and sooo nice and warm.
the sand is silky smooth.. and dont even worry about the crowds.. you wont even notice them as you're soaking up the sun.

Re: On this cold day, let's talk about the BLUE BLUE water of the carribbean!
Cabo doesn't have the same blue Caribbean water because it's on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. You also can't swim at many of the beaches in Cabo because the surf is too rough. It's gorgeous, but you'll spend more time at the pool than on the beach.ETS- the most blue water I've seen anywhere is in the Cayman Islands. someone above mentioned taking a cruise and that's not a bad idea. We went on a cruise (left from Miami) and went to Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Ochos Rios. They were all beautiful and the beaches were fantastic.

I truly thought the water in Cancun really was the bluest of them all- it was so pretty. But Cabo San Lucas is on the Pacific so its not that blue water you are thinking of- I hope that helps.

great pics ladies! The Cayman islands makes me sing that song from the commercial 'The Cay-man i-lands...' and I tend to think it is very commercialized - no? I'll do some research.
Yes, St. Lucia and Anguilla keep popping up as amazing beach areas - but so dang pricey for Spa places on them!!!
Keep em coming...

The waters in mexico are really blue. DH and I went on our first vacation together and it was one of our favorites. We also went to Barbados, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and Miami. We also went to Mauritius for our HM. Its an island in the indian ocean. We did not like Puerto Rico...I did not think the water was that blue. Barbados was great! I highly recommend it! But I don't think you can go wrong with mexico. The only thing that is awful is the food. The food in barbados is great.Welcome New Vendors
